Eagle offers an exciting variety of subject matter for painters; barns, river front, rolling foothills and more. Our event staff will answer questions and be happy to recommend the best access areas for painters. Here’s just a few area highlights…
The Foothills rise above Eagle, providing a postcard backdrop that inspires and soothes the soul. An interconnected network of roads and trails courses through these hills, linking not only neighborhoods with public lands but also connecting people with the natural environment. Read More

Oversized Art for Large Spaces
Large spaces can be a challenge to fill. Sweeping ceilings, long walls and large-scale rooms can swallow art that is too small. Leaving the room looking out of balance without a dramatic focal point. I offer you some tips for selecting the right sized art for your big space.
Size it Right
As a general rule, the artwork should be 2/3 of the length of what ever it’s hanging over. For a 6 foot long sofa, the artwork should be close to 4 feet (or 48 inches) long.
Creating Balance
Choosing the right proportion of frame material is key to pulling the room together. The frame style pulls the color from the table up to the wall creating balance in the space. This photo by of Bennett Hills Idaho by Rob Hart is framed to the perfect length over this office sofa.

TASTE WINE LIKE A PRO | Ken Rufe, Cellar 616
Thursday April 20 | 6:00pm – 9:00pm
Ready to learn how to taste and evaluate like a pro? Ken Rufe, Wine Director at Cellar 616, will teach you how to utilize your senses to truly comprehend the wines in our glasses. We will evaluate several different classic grape varieties from local regions with one big twist: in order to ensure impartial judgment of a wine, you’re going to be tasting the wines blind, just like a professional sommelier!
Are you familiar with blind tasting, this doesn’t mean we are going to blindfold you; it means that we will not be telling you anything about the wines you taste until after you taste and analyze them, allowing you to focus impartially on using only your senses. What color is the wine? What aromas are coming through? How does it feel on your palate? Blind tasting is incredibly educational and a lot of fun and you’ll want to taste that way all the time! Not only will you leave with a much better understanding of the world of wine, but you’ll also have tons of street cred for the next time you’re out sipping wine with your friends.
Register early, this popular class is expected to sell out. $25 for a couple, $15 for individual

I’m going to be on National TV!
Custom picture framing will get a big boost this January when it’s featured on the popular TV show Designing Spaces® airing on Lifetime® Television. In collaboration with Tru Vue, I was asked to film a segment about my favorite topic, the importance of custom framing and Museum Glass.
The show will air Friday, January 6 @ 5:30am on Lifetime channel 100. That’s early, so I’ll forgive you if you record it instead of tuning in live.
To say I was thrilled with the invitation would be an extreme understatement. This has been a dream of mine for years. I cringe each time I see art being miss-handled on various DIY shows. I want to shout and set them straight on the importance of proper framing. So when I was asked to film a segment for Designing Spaces it really was a dream come true.

Look for some of my favorite frames during the segment; my father’s WWII photo framed with his ribbons; my son’s wedding photos in a shadowbox and photograph of Indonesia from Rob Hart that I carried with me all the way to Miami.

Debi Marie, host of Designing Spaces, Meg Glasgow, and Jen Gramm from Tru-Vue
