The Eagle Arts Commission is preparing for our first Eagle Sculpture Invitational. The only of its kind in Idaho, the summer-long art show showcases professional sculpture artists around the city of Eagle. The show provides an avenue for these talented artists to bring their art to where the people are, in parks, pathways and downtown Eagle. The community-wide effort is designed to present new art experiences to not only the public, but municipalities, corporate entities and other potential customers and arts patrons.

Sculptors are invited to submit proposals now through mid-April. Artworks may be representational or abstract, functional or non-functional, stationary or kinetic; they must be durable to withstand outdoor elements, created within the past 3 years and safe for public interaction. Artist CJ Rench
Eight artists will be invited to participate for the exhibition running June through September 2014. Each will receive a $500 stipend, installation assistance and be the guest of honor at a special Premier Party on June 7. Artists will also compete for a $1000 “Best of Show” award and a $5000 purchase prize to be awarded at the end of the show.
