EAGLE PLEIN AIR FESTIVAL | June 2 – 4, 2016
The 2016 Eagle Plein Air Festival & Competition will be held Thursday, June 2 through Saturday, June 4 in historic Eagle, Idaho. It is a Festival, exhibition, and competition open to professional and non-professional artists of all skill levels. More than 50 artists are expected to visit beautiful Eagle, Idaho to paint, draw, and sketch the natural landscape. Watch a demonstration, take a painting lesson and talk with the artists. At the end of the Festival, the public can view and purchase these unique visions of Eagle at the Festival Exhibition and Awards Reception.

Thursday June 2 | 5:00pm – 7:00pm at the Gallery at Finer Frames. Join us for an opening welcome reception in the Gallery from 5 to 7pm. All are welcome. Meet the artists, enjoy food and drink from local restaurants and see works that the artists brought with them.
Friday June 3 | 10:00am – 4:00pm Join David Mensing for ‘KEY PRINCIPLES FOR FINE PAINTING ON LOCATION,’ an exciting and insightful study of dynamic principles behind successful painting on-location. Read more
Quick Draw Competition
Saturday June 4 | 10:00am – 12:00pm in downtown Eagle. You’ll be able to watch artists from start to finish during the ‘quick-draw’ at the Eagle Saturday Market. Read more
Plein Air Studio
Saturday June 4 | 8:00am – 2:00pm During this free community event anyone can create their own plein air painting with pastels provided by Eagle Parks & Recreation and the Eagle Arts Commission.
Exhibition & Awards Reception
Saturday June 4 | 5:00pm – 8:00pm Join us at The Gallery at Finer Frames to meet the artists, enjoy refreshments and purchase your own original painting. Small Works Silent Auction and originals created during the festival will be available for sale.
